Study finds age and race bias in COVID-19 mobility data
Researchers at Stanford and Carnegie Mellon have found that older and nonwhite U.S. people are underrepresented in the mobility data used to develop COVID-19 policies. The researches are concerned that these groups could be disproportionately harmed if this biased mobility data is used to allocate public health resources. They have suggested making age and race bias correction weights.
